Where Ontario Mobile Massage's Story Begins

Fresh out of massage college, Keeley Shantz, RMT (they/them), founder of Ontario Mobile Massage, was struggling with anxiety, depression, and C-PTSD. Overwhelmed by mental and physical pain, they could barely leave their house.

This led to the realization that massage therapy is typically only accessible to individuals who are able to arrange childcare, leave their home, drive or access public transit, climb clinic steps, and be in a new, and often over-stimulating, environment.

This phenomenon leads to many people not being provided opportunities to receive vital healthcare.

Through research and observation, and out of years of personal experience, Ontario Mobile Massage was born to fill the gaping deficit of truly accessible massage therapy.

What is Accessibility?

It is the quality of being able to be reached. In other words, it is the opportunity for everybody to have their unique and specific needs met.

Ontario Mobile Massage caters to everyone experiencing pain: parents, youth, athletes, the elderly, individuals with various disabilities, patients post-surgery, patients with terminal illness, grieving souls, and homebodies alike.

Ontario Mobile Massage meets you wherever you are in your life. We listen, understand and respect your wants and needs, and work with you to create a treatment plan that will aid you in fulfilling your goals, whether they be to recover from an injury, to increase your mobility, to treat physical pain caused by emotional turmoil, to practice self-care or body acceptance, or simply to find peace is a tumultuous time.

Ontario Mobile Massage offers four superbly skilled RMTs who travel across Ontario's GTA, providing you with relief from pain.

We invite you to rediscover accessible massage therapy with Ontario Mobile Massage any day of the week in the comfort and convenience of your own home.

Keeley Shantz, RMT

Founder of Ontario Mobile Massage; Clinical Director

Hi! I’m Keeley (they/them) and I’m so glad you’re here.

My goal is to provide you with relief from pain. I have experienced chronic low back pain since 2011, when I started receiving massage therapy. I am also no stranger to mental health conditions such as anxiety, depression, C-PTSD, and premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD), which are closely related to the physical manifestations of pain.

Keeley is wearing a soft yellow t-shirt in front of a sea of yellow and green grasses, smiling at the camera.

I graduated from the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy in 2017 at the top of my class with specializations in sports and hospital environments. Since then, I've furthered my education in pregnancy, lymphatic drainage, oncology, breast/chest massage, 2SLGBTQIA+ healthcare, mental health, and end-of-life care.

I have been helping people find relief from their pain as a mobile RMT since 2018.

I work with parents, youth, amateur to professional athletes, the elderly, individuals with various disabilities, patients post-surgery, and patients at the end stages of their lives to get them out of pain.

I have developed and teach a series of 2SLGBTQIA+ education courses for healthcare practitioners and the public. I have supervised student clinic at a massage therapy college in Toronto and I volunteer in the communities of Markham and Stouffville, where I've gained valuable experience coaching children with various learning styles in several sports.

I enjoy playing and refereeing hockey, skiing and snowboarding, practicing Muay Thai and yoga, meditating, and swimming. In my spare time, I can be found reading fiction, taking care of my betta fish, and playing Magic the Gathering or Dungeons & Dragons (yes, I am a nerd!).

I travel up to 30 mins from North Ajax.

This includes Pickering, Scarborough, Agincourt, southeast Markham, Whitchurch-Stouffville, Claremont, Uxbridge, Port Perry, Brooklin, Whitby, Oshawa, Courtice, Bowmanville, Newcastle, Clarington, and Orono.

Appointments are available Mondays-Fridays from 11am-5:30pm, with occasional weekend availability.

Dean Farrell, RMT

Hello! My name is Dean, and I want to help you be as comfortable as you can be in your body.

I am a graduate of Fanshawe College’s Massage Therapy program and I have a Bachelor of Arts in Kinesiology and a minor in Rehabilitation Sciences from Western University.

I value your comfort and integrity, and I strive to make sure that my treatment space is one in which you feel respected and understood.

My style is adaptive and versatile; I can identify the underlying cause of pain and develop a treatment plan suitable to your current level of functioning, as well as provide soothing relaxation massages. I love puzzles and using my problem-solving skills to find suitable treatment options.

To this end, I have taken courses in hot stone massage and in treating clients within the 2SLGBTQIA+ community, as well as learned all that I can from working in clinical settings alongside physiotherapists, chiropractors, reflexologists, and acupuncturists. I have managed to adapt their schools of thinking into my massage therapy practice to ensure that my treatments can be effective, regardless of the challenges you may be facing.

I also have a passion for educating my clients about how they can improve their quality of life. I have spent six years studying the human body on an academic level, and I try my best to bring that knowledge into my treatments in order to answer questions you may have about your body.

In my free time I enjoy writing stories, as well as playing video games and table-top role-playing games with my friends. I also enjoy playing hockey and practicing martial arts to stay in shape!

I travel up to 30 mins from Whitchurch-Stouffville.

This includes Markham, Richmond Hill, King, Aurora, Newmarket, Mount Albert, Uxbridge, and Pickering.

Appointments are available on Sundays & Mondays from 10am-5:30pm.

Julie Allinotte, RMT

I have been a registered massage therapist reducing the aches and pains of people of all ages and states of wellness since 2003, when I graduated with honours from the Canadian Therapeutic College of Massage and Hydrotherapy.

I am a proud member in good standing of the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO) and an active member of the Registered Massage Therapy Association of Ontario (RMTAO), and previously an executive member and meeting facilitator of the Niagara RMT’s professional development group.

I have also been a teaching assistant for the Myofascial Release (MFR) foundations course and have an interest in continuing to explore TMJ treatments - most recently, how to upgrade PPE practices for best administering TMJ treatments during COVID-19.

I have an ongoing interest in staying current with my skills through regular continuing education. Some of the many continuing education certificates I have earned include:

Walt Fritzs’ "Foundations in Myofascial Release Seminar for Voice, Speech and Swallowing Disorders,"

"TMJ Mastery with John Corry," and

"Inside the Vagus Nerve;" as well as

kinesiology taping with Rocktape, Positional Release, ultrasound and TENS, cupping therapy, hot stone massage, Muscle Energy Technique, and acupressure.

Hosting couples' massage events has been a fun way to show others how to use the healing power of touch. In the community, I am a former board member for the Family and Children’s Services Foundation and have participated in the CIBC run for the cure and the Sporting Life 10k .

My experience as an Early Childhood Educator prior to becoming an RMT has given me a great foundation in providing massage treatments to children and youth.

My other hobbies include walking my two dogs, reading epic novels, and dabbling in art.

I travel within the boundaries of Toronto's Spadina, Bloor, Jarvis, and Queen's Quay.

Appointments are available on Fridays from 10am-2:30pm.

Jacqueline Bolton

Hello and welcome! My name is Jacqueline and as the administrator at Ontario Mobile Massage, I hope to help you find relief and relaxation within the comfort of your home.

Growing up with both a doctor and an RMT in the family, I was always taught the importance of seeking help for pain or discomfort, as well as the positive benefits of massage. I’m passionate about making that accessible for all.

I love being outside, and camping is one of my favourite activities. I hope to one day visit every national and provincial park in Ontario!

When I feel like staying inside, you can find me reading sci-fi or playing video games!
