Ontario Mobile Massage Fall 2024 Hours

The underside of daisy blooms

Hello and Happy September!

Summer vacation is now a memory, school has begun, and schedules are changing.

I’ve always found September to be a hectic month. As a student, the thrill of school beginning always caused heart-aching anxiety and exhaustion from over-stimulation in the classroom.

As a business owner and a hockey referee, September means renewals and recertification!

RMTs must renew their professional liability insurance and complete their professional review and reflection of the past year. We must also assess and create new goals for the year to encourage professional development and meet the requirements of our regulatory college, the CMTO.

Each year as a hockey referee, I must ensure that my Vulnerable Sector Check is up-to-date, complete an online recertification course, pass an exam, attend an in-person clinic.

What does September mean to or bring for you?

For myself, this September brings a new and exciting change: I have begun an RMT teaching position at Pharma-Medical Science College of Canada!

Screenshot reads "Started New Job at Pharma-Medical Science College of Canada; September 2024 - Massage Therapy Teacher; Toronto, Ontario." Above is the school's green emblem.

Every Wednesday, I will teach hopeful massage-therapists-to-be the foundations of Swedish massage. This includes communication and consent, draping, techniques, body ergonomics, disinfection, professional therapeutic relationships, and more.

I have missed teaching in-person and am so excited and grateful for this opportunity to teach the next generation of RMTs!

Don’t worry; I’ll still be practicing and running Ontario Mobile Massage!
